MetaMind Digital Pvt. Ltd. ("we", "us", "our") operates MetaMind Social at https://smm.metamindigital.com.np (the "Service"), a social media management platform we use to plan, publish and monitor content on social media accounts that we manage for our clients. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it and the choices you have.

1. Who this policy applies to

• Our clients and team members who have an account on the Service.
• Owners and administrators of social media accounts (such as Facebook Pages, Instagram Business accounts, LinkedIn pages, X, and TikTok profiles) that are connected to the Service.
• Members of the public who interact with those connected accounts, for example by commenting on a post or sending a message to a Page.

2. Information we collect

Account information

Name, username, email address, password (stored only in hashed form), time zone, profile photo and team membership for people who use the Service.

Information from connected social media accounts

When you connect a social media account, you authorize us through the platform's official login (for example Facebook Login) and choose which Pages or profiles to grant access to. Depending on the permissions you approve, we receive:

• Basic profile and Page information: account or Page ID, name, username, profile picture and the list of Pages or accounts you manage.
• Access tokens that let the Service act on your behalf. Tokens are stored encrypted and used only for the actions described in this policy.
• Content you create or schedule through the Service: posts, captions, images, videos, links and publishing schedules.
• Engagement data for connected accounts: published posts, comments, replies, reactions and, where enabled, direct messages sent to a connected Page or Instagram account.
• Insights and analytics: reach, impressions, engagement and follower metrics provided by the platform.

Information from people who interact with connected accounts

If you comment on, react to, or message a Page or account that is connected to the Service, we receive what the platform makes available about that interaction, such as your public name, profile picture, platform user ID and the content of your comment or message, so that the account owner can read and respond to it.

Technical information

IP address, browser type, device information and log data generated when you use the Service, and cookies that are necessary to keep you signed in and to secure the Service.

3. How we use information

• To connect your social media accounts and publish, schedule and manage content on them at your direction.
• To display comments, messages and insights so that you can respond to your audience and measure performance.
• To operate, maintain, secure and improve the Service, including troubleshooting and preventing abuse.
• To communicate with you about your account, the Service and support requests.
• To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use data obtained from Facebook, Instagram or other platforms for advertising profiling, data brokering, or any purpose other than providing the Service to the account owner who authorized it.

4. AI features

If you choose to use AI-assisted features (for example caption or image generation), the text or media you submit to that feature is sent to the AI provider configured for the Service solely to generate the requested output. We do not send comments or messages from your audience to AI providers unless you explicitly use an AI feature on that content.

5. How we share information

• Social media platforms: content and actions you initiate are sent to the relevant platform (for example Meta, LinkedIn, X or TikTok) through its official API.
• Service providers: hosting, database, storage, email delivery and AI providers that process data on our behalf under appropriate confidentiality and security obligations.
• Your team: people you invite to your workspace can see the accounts and content shared with that workspace.
• Legal reasons: when required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and security of our users, the public or us.

6. Data retention

We keep information for as long as your account is active or the social media account remains connected. When you disconnect a social media account, we delete its access tokens and stop collecting data from it. When you request deletion or close your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where we must keep it to meet legal obligations, resolve disputes or enforce our agreements.

7. Deleting your data

You can ask us to delete your data at any time. See our Data Deletion Instructions for the steps, including how to remove the Service's access from your Facebook account.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), encrypted storage of access tokens, hashed passwords and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify affected users of a security incident as required by law.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below. You can also revoke the Service's access at any time from the settings of the social media platform.

10. Children

The Service is intended for businesses and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. International transfers

Our hosting and service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where we transfer information internationally, we take steps to ensure it remains protected.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and change the effective date above.
